We have transitioned from hand spraying our coir doormats to a cutting-edge digital method, a change that has brought remarkable benefits.
For years, our team has meticulously hand-sprayed each coir bathmat, ensuring that every piece met our high standards. Hand spraying, though effective, was water-intensive, and in an era where conserving resources is paramount, we recognised the need for a more sustainable approach. Our new digital technology represents a leap forward in both efficiency and sustainability. This innovative method not only maintains the superior quality of our coir doormats but also significantly reduces water consumption.
One of the most impressive outcomes of this technological shift is the substantial reduction in water usage. Each production batch of 1,000 coir mats now saves approximately 1,000 litres of water. To put this into perspective, that’s the equivalent of over 2,600 gallons – enough to fill nearly two standard-size swimming pools!
