Why coir
Nature’s best shoe scraper.
Built for covered porches
Happiest under a porch roof or inside the door, where it can dry out.
Less shedding
Our reduced-shedding finish keeps loose fibers to a minimum.
Good to know
Coir questions, answered.
What are coir mats made from?
Natural coconut husk fiber: durable, renewable and brilliant at scraping dirt, mud and debris from shoes.
Can I use a coir mat outdoors?
Yes, in sheltered spots like porches and covered front doors. For fully exposed doors, choose one of our all-weather designs.
Do coir mats shed?
All natural coir sheds a little at first. Our reduced-shedding finish keeps it to a minimum.
What size should I choose?
Most US front doors are 36″ wide. 18″ × 30″ sits neatly inside the frame; 24″ × 36″ covers the full width.
