Why we exist

Doormats were boring. So we fixed that.

In 2016, doormats were functional but uninspiring: brown, beige and "Welcome". So we set out to make ones people actually want to show off.

Our first natural coir collection, and one cheeky mat, Come In If You Have Prosecco, put us on the map. Today it's all-weather, personalized and artist collaborations, with the same idea: bring personality to every doorstep, built for everyday life.

Your doorstep is the most-seen square foot of your home. It should make someone smile.

Why we make doormats

Hi there,

Artsy Mats started in 2016 with a simple idea: doormats should make people smile. Back then everything was brown, beige or said "Welcome" in the same font. One cheeky mat about Prosecco later, it turned out plenty of people agreed.

Ten years on, that idea still drives everything we make. Your doormat is the first thing you, your guests and your delivery driver see. It should be fun, it should survive muddy boots, and it shouldn't cost a fortune.
